How to connect your first Google Business Profile

Link a client's Google Business Profile to Mapifyer so you can run heatmap scans, automate reviews, and track rankings.

Step-by-step instructions

Open the Locations page
In your dashboard, navigate to GBP → Locations in the left sidebar.

Click 'Add Location'
Click the 'Add Location' button in the top right corner of the Locations page.

Connect your Google account
Click 'Connect Google Account' and sign in with the Google account that has owner or manager access to the business profile.

Select the business
Choose the Google Business Profile from the dropdown list. If managing multiple businesses, all profiles linked to that Google account will appear.

Confirm permissions
Grant Mapifyer the required permissions to read profile data, manage reviews, and access ranking data. Click 'Allow'.

Location appears in dashboard
The location is now connected. Mapifyer will automatically pull the profile data and queue the first scan.

Problem: The business does not appear in the dropdown

Ensure the Google account you connected is listed as Owner or Manager on the Google Business Profile. Viewer access is not sufficient.

Problem: Permission denied error

Re-authenticate by disconnecting the Google account and reconnecting. Ensure you click 'Allow' on all permission screens.

Problem: Location shows 'Pending sync'

First syncs can take up to 5 minutes. Refresh the page after waiting. If it persists beyond 10 minutes, contact support.
