Fixing Google Business Profile sync errors

Diagnose and resolve common GBP connection and sync issues.

Step-by-step instructions

    Check the error message

    On the Locations page, hover over the red status badge next to a location to see the specific error type.

    Re-authenticate Google account

    If the error is 'Token expired' or 'Permission denied', click the three-dot menu on the location and select 'Reconnect Google Account'. Re-authorise through Google OAuth.

    Verify GBP access

    Log in to business.google.com and confirm the Google account used in Mapifyer still has Owner or Manager access to the profile.

    Contact support

    If the issue persists after re-authenticating, contact hello@mapifyer.com with your location name and the error message shown.

Troubleshooting

Problem: Error: 'Access revoked'

You revoked Mapifyer's Google permissions. Reconnect the Google account on the location page.

Problem: Error: 'Location not found'

The Google Business Profile may have been deleted or suspended. Check business.google.com to confirm the profile status.
