How to find local SEO prospects

Use Mapifyer's prospecting engine to find businesses in any city that are losing visibility on Google Maps.

Step-by-step instructions

Go to Pipeline → Search
Click 'Search' in the Pipeline section of the left sidebar.

Enter search criteria
Enter a business category (e.g. 'dentist', 'plumber'), a city or postcode, and the primary keyword your targets rank for.

Run the prospect scan
Click 'Find Prospects'. Mapifyer scans Google Maps in that area and returns a list of businesses with their current average ranking position.

Filter by opportunity
Sort results by average ranking score. Businesses with high scores (poor rankings) are the best prospects — they have the most to gain from your services.

Save to Prospects
Click 'Save as Prospect' on any business you want to pursue. They move to your Prospects pipeline.

Target businesses ranking between position 5–15 — they are visible enough to know Google Maps matters, but struggling enough to need help.
Run prospect scans in categories where you already have case studies — it makes your sales pitch much stronger.
