Scan errors and failed scans

Understand why scans fail and how to retry or fix them.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

    Check credit balance

If a large grid scan fails with an insufficient credits error, check your credit balance on the Billing page. Purchase a credit pack if needed.

  2. 2

    Retry the scan

Most scan failures are temporary. Click 'Retry Scan' on the failed scan. If the retry succeeds, no credits are charged for the failed attempt.

  3. 3

    Reduce grid size

If scans consistently fail for 13Γ—13, try 9Γ—9. Very large grids require more processing time and are occasionally rate-limited.

  4. 4

    Contact support

If scans repeatedly fail for the same location and keyword, contact support@mapifyer.com with the location name, keyword, and grid size used.

Troubleshooting

Problem: Error: 'Insufficient credits'

Buy a credit pack on Billing. A scan costs one credit per grid point: 25 for 5Γ—5, 49 for 7Γ—7, 81 for 9Γ—9, 169 for 13Γ—13.

Problem: Error: 'Daily scan limit reached'

The daily limit is a rolling 24-hour window sized at half your monthly credit allowance, so a single day cannot exhaust the month. Wait for the window to clear or upgrade your plan.

Problem: Error: monthly spend cap reached

Your account reached its monthly API spend cap and scans are paused until the billing cycle resets. Upgrade your plan to raise the cap, or contact support@mapifyer.com if this looks wrong.
