A preview scan runs a small 5×5 grid so you can see a result quickly and cheaply, then expand it if it is worth a closer look.

    What a preview runs

    A preview always runs a 5×5 grid regardless of the size you asked for, and is charged at 25 credits.

    Reading a preview

    A preview shows the shape of the problem, not its full geography. Coverage gaps between the sparse points are not visible.

    Expanding to full

    Expanding runs a new full-size scan for the same keyword and area, charged at that grid's credit cost. The preview charge is not refunded.
